Head into the wild by snowmobile and experience the Arctic Nature in a special way. There are two trails which both are approximately 30-35 kilometers.
You will be picked up in Alta and will be transfered to Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel. The snowmobile guide will meet you at the reception. Before the safari starts you will receive the necessary equipment and an introduction about how to drive your snowmobile and what the driving rules are.
After the instructions, you will head out into the wilderness. The first part of the trail is on the road following the Alta valley, after which you will head for the second part of the trail. The second part of the trail will go through one of Europe’s last wilderness areas, the Finnmark plateau. In the sun and the arctic light, you will drive through a forest and valley covered in snow.
The trails together are approximately 30-35 kilometers, which means that you will be driving your snowmobile for approx. 2,5 hours. You drive in pairs and have the option to switch half way through the tour, but there is also an opportunity to drive the snowmobile yourself for additional costs. Please let us know, if you wish to drive your own snowmobile during the booking process.

Special conditions: Car driving license required, alt ”EU-card”. Drivers need to be at least 18 years old with a ”EU-card” or ”A Class”. Snowmobile driver is held liable for any damages caused to the vehicle. Minimum 2 participants. If travelling alone you can still book this add-on as there might be other travelers participating. The trip is easy to medium easy physically demanding.
Transfer: The transfer is a shared transfer which has to be shared with other guests. Should you have your own car and want to arrange transfer yourself please contact us.
Weather dependent: All outdoor activities are weather dependent and may be cancelled or replaced by more suitable alternatives should the conditions not permit to run the tour as planned. A full refund will be made for activities cancelled by the supplier due to weather conditions.
