Self-drive Dog Sledding in Tromsø

Enjoy the arctic coastal nature with a fantastic view over Tromsø, surrounded with white covered mountains and long fjords. Drive your own dog sled and meet the 300 Alaskan huskies during a guided tour of the dog yard.

Drive your own sled with 5-7 dogs, shared with another person: one driving and riding it as a passenger. You can switch in the middle of the track. Professional guides will lead your group in a separate sled.

After the dog sledding you will return to the ranch where you will meet the huskies and spend some times with the puppies. You will be served a typical sami meal "Bidos", with reindeer meat and vegetables, followed by hot coffee and homemade cake, served in a traditional sami tent.

08:30, 09:30 &10:30 from the Radisson Blu Hotel.

Duration:

4 hours, incl. 25 minutes transfer each way and approx. 45-60 minutes dog-sledding.

No discount available. The age limit on this tour is 16 years old.

Transport, warm clothes (thermal overalls, boots) guiding, a hot meal, tea/coffee, approx. 45-60 minutes dog sledding.

Please note:

Special conditions: Minimum 2 participants. If travelling alone you can still book this add-on as there might be other travelers participating. The actvity includes physical activity such as running through snow, balancing on the sled, etc. Good fittness level is required. If the weather/snow conditions are bad, you may have to sit in the sled driven by one of the guides.
Weather dependent: All outdoor activities are weather dependent and may be cancelled or replaced by more suitable alternatives should the conditions not permit to run the tour as planned. A full refund will be made for activities cancelled by the supplier due to weather conditions.
