Experience the arctic wilderness and culture in an authentic way and meet a local reindeer herder. Your guide will pick you up from Kakslauttanen and provide you with thermal outfits at a farm.
After the opportunity to take pictures with the reindeer it is time to make yourself comfortable in the sledge under the warm blankets and head out into the arctic wilderness. The pace is calm and you can relax, breath in the fresh air and listen to the soundscape of the arctic wilderness.
After the approx. 40-minute ride, you will visit a traditional reindeer herder’s shelter and sit in a “kota” (= Sami tent) and enjoy coffee prepared on an open fire. You will also learn about the fascinating nature and culture of the region.
