Join a guided hiking trip in Oslomarka, the forested and hilly areas surrounding Oslo. Hike on gravel roads and trails through the lush green forest to Vettakollen, one of the best viewpoints in Oslo.
The tour will start in the centre of Oslo where you will meet your guide. From there you will travel by metro to Frognerseteren, 469 meteres above sea level. As the metro slowly makes its ascent up the Holmenkollen Hill, you will have stunning views of the city and its fjord and forests.
At Frognerseteren, the final stop, you can admire the views of the city, before walking off into the forest. You will hike slowly down towards King Olav’s trail through the lush green forest and along mysterious small lakes. The highlight of the hike is the view from Vettakollen! From here you will see large parts of Oslo, the Oslo fjord, its coastline and many small islands.
After a break you will stroll down the hillside to Vettakollen metro station, from where you will return to the city centre.

Children under the age of 12 are free of charge (public transport ticket is required). Please note that the minimum age for this activity is 5 years.
Guided hiking trip in a small group (maximum 10-15 persons per guide). Spikes and poles included in winter. Tickets for the metro is not included.
Fitness level required: Average fitness level required; you must be comfortable walking downhill. Most of the hike is in uneven terrain that may be wet and slippery.
Equipment required: As a participant, you must ensure that you use shoes that are suitable for hiking in wet/uneven terrain. The guide can reject participants who do not have suitable shoes.
Special conditions: Minimum 2 persons. You can still book this experience if you are less than 2 persons as there might be other travelers participating.
Weather dependent: All outdoor activities are weather dependent and may be cancelled by the provider or replaced by more suitable alternatives should the conditions not permit to run the tour as planned. A full refund will be made for activities cancelled by the supplier due to weather conditions.
