Lysefjord Cruise & Pulpit Rock Hike in winter

Discover the magnificent Lysefjord under its snow coat and let yourself be bewitched by the beauty. After the cruise, hike the Pulpit Rock to get a panoramic winter view.

Take a boat cruise on the Lysefjord and enjoy the spectacular waterfalls and past the Vagabond’s Cave of legend. You will arrive in Forsand, where your will be welcome by your mountain guide for the world’s famous Preikestolen Hike. You will now walk up to the Pulpit Rock. This is a unique opportunity to avoid the crowd and discover rare landscapes.

On average it takes approximately 2 hours to walk one way. If it’s needed, your mountain guide will provide you winter equipment for the hike, to insure a memorable experience. After the hike, you will be transported by bus back to Stavanger. On the bus journey you will travel through the worlds longest undersea tunnel. Arrival back in Stavanger at 19:00 hrs. 

Available:

Friday, Saturday, Sunday from November to March. Daily in April.

Departure:

11:00 hrs from Strandkaien in Stavanger (Arrival back in Stavanger approx. 20:00 hrs). 

Duration:

8 - 9 hours (including transportation): 2 hours cruise, 4 hours hike. 

Guiding:

Audio-guiding in Norwegian and English on board the boat. Expert guide assure an exclusive hike.  

Child Policy :

The tour is not allowed for children under 8 years old. Child discount approx 30% (years 8-15)

Included:

Audio-Guide on the cruise, private guide for the hike. Seasonal equipment if needed (boots crampons, spikes).

Special conditions::

You will require proper hiking boots, warm thick sock x2, Water-resistant jacket and pants, fleece or woollen sweater, warm hat and gloves, small backpack; plus, food and water. Average/Good fitness level is required.
