Join a kick sled tour on the ice around central Luleå in Swedish Lapland. Experience the feeling of calmly gliding over the shimmering snow and ice. Halfway through the trip you will take a break and enjoy lunch over an open fire.
Since the middle of the 19th century, the ice-kick has been used as a mode of transport in the villages.
It is a type of sled on which you can travel smoothly on both ice and snow. It helps you keep your balance and is easy to turn with. It is mainly used in the Nordics and we still often see it being used in the villages to assist the children to school or as a mode of transport to the shops.
