Enjoy an Arctic dog sledding winter adventure with the huskies! There are two big farms right next door to Kakslauttanen. Meet the friendly husky dogs and sled through the Arctic wilderness.
A guide will pick you up from Kakslauttanen and provide you with a thermal outfit at the husky farm. Then it is time to meet the dogs who are eagerly waiting in front of the sledges. The guide will give you instructions on how to stop, turn and drive the sleigh. Then it is time to explore the wintery forest. After returning to the husky farm you will enjoy a hot drink while listening to husky stories.
The sledge is for 2 people, unless you wish to drive your own sled yourself (at an extra cost). One person is sitting in the sledge and the other one is standing in the back driving the sledge. You can swap drivers half way. If you wish to drive your own sled, please let us know at the time of booking. Please note that the single driving supplement is mandatory if travelling on your own.

Special conditions: In order to drive the sled a minimum weight of 45-50 kg is required. For safety reasons, women who are pregnant cannot join this activity. Minimum 2 participants. If travelling alone you can still book this experience as there might be other travelers participating.
Weather dependent: All outdoor activities are weather dependent and may be cancelled or replaced by more suitable alternatives should the conditions not permit to run the tour as planned. A full refund will be made for activities cancelled by the supplier due to weather conditions.
