Explore the Norwegian landscapes during a day trip through the fjords. Sail through the Osterfjord and the Mostraumen straits before arriving at Modalen. Enjoy a guided mountain hike to "The Castle", a miniature version of the Pulpit Rock and enjoy some time at leisure to explore the village.
From Bergen you will sail through the marvellous scenes of the Osterfjord and the narrow and shallow Mostraumen straits. During the tour you will pass various waterfalls, where the captain navigates the boat so close to the waterfalls you might get a refreshing shower.
After arriving in Modalen the guide will take you on a short drive to the starting point for the hike to "The Castle". The hike will take around one hour, and at the top you will have a breathtaking view of the fjord and enjoy a nice lunch break.
Once back in the village, there will be free time to explore Modalen before leaving back to Bergen.

Audioguiding in English on board the boat (other languages are available on request). An English speaking guide accompanies the group on the mountain hike.

Clothing: For the mountain hike it is recommended to bring sturdy and waterproof hiking shoes, windproof jacket, a thin wool long-sleeved top, hiking pants (jeans are not recommended) and some water and food in a bag. Average fitness level is required.
