This excursion will take you into the snow-covered valley of Tamok, where you will enjoy dog sledding between trees and over hills. Visit a small herd of reindeer located at the Ice Domes.
Greet a bunch of happy and friendly huskies, who are ready for some action. The adventure starts with some instructions on how to drive a dog sledding team. You will be driving in pairs, one driver and one passenger, on each sled, with an opportunity to switch places half way. This excursion is physically challenging and requires a good fitness level to participate. If you wish to swap places halfway through the run, both people must meet the fitness requirements. You will drive the sled through the white Norwegian landscapes and the beautiful Tamok Valley surrounded by majestic mountains. The trails that you follow are approximately 10-12 kilometers and you will sled for about 1,5-2 hours.
After this adventure, you will have a guided tour and a hot meal in the Ice Domes. The Ice Domes are massive ice structures with majestic figures made from snow and ice which are built every winter. There are two ice bars and an ice restaurant with themes ranging from local Sami culture to the Northern lights, where you will enjoy a non-alcoholic welcome shot in an ice glass. Visit the small herd of reindeer located at the Ice Domes. After the meal, a bus will take you back to the Tromsø city centre.
