The camp stay is a midday activity which can only be booked in combination with a morning and evening activity at Lyngsfjord.
Between your morning and evening activity you will spend approximately 4 hours at Camp Tamok. During this period, you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while feeding the campfire inside the lavvu and explore the camp area in the crisp cold air. The quiet environment in the camp will make you relax and enjoy the silence. The guide will participate in your midday stay and tell stories from the local area. The surroundings at the camp are breathtaking and at late afternoon it is chance to see the Aurora. A meal will be served before you start your next activity.
From December 20 you will also have opportunity to visit the Ice Domes when the Ice Domes are built (walking distance). On arrival at Tromsø Ice domes, you will be greeted by your guide who will share the knowledge about the construction process of an ice hotel and guide about the impact the snow has for the survival of our arctic animals. A non-alcoholic ice shot at the stunning ice bar is complementary. You will also have the time to visit some of the reindeer that are herding next to the Ice Domes before heading back to Camp Tamok and prepare for the evening activity.
