Enjoy an atmospheric wilderness evening including dinner and a presentation on polar bears at Camp Barentz in the Advent Valley, located outside Longyearbyen on Svalbard.
Camp Barentz is located 10km outside of Longyearbyen at the foot of the mountain Breinosa, right below Mine 7. You will be able to see a copy of the cabin that the discoverer of Svalbard, Willem Barentz, overwintered in on Novaya Zemlya in 1596. During the excursion you might be able to see Svalbard reindeer, grouse and maybe foxes.
After arriving your hosts will serve you good drinks and a delicious homemade reindeer bidos. The tasty dinner is followed by bonfire coffee and cake and some interesting new facts and stories about the King of the Arctic – the polar bear.
Before returning to civilization you will be able to take photos of the arctic nature and enjoy the midnight sun.
