Experience the beautiful fishing villages and towns of the Lofoten Islands, located in between sea and mountains, during this guided bus tour.
You start in Stamsund, and your first stop will be at Torvdalshalsen for a photo break. Afterwards, you visit the fishing village Kabelvåg which is the oldest on the Lofoten. The fishing business started here over 1000 years ago already. Within the village, the collection of Kaare Espolin Johnson in Gallery Espolin will be visited. You will see how he expressed the sea, life of the fisherman and beautiful Lofoten. Close by is the Lofoten Museum, which compliments the just learned with history of those fishermen and the area in addition. In Vågar, a medieval town in the surroundings, you can see traditional fishermen’s cabins and boathouses including Nordland boats. Lastly, you will visit the Gothic Revival Style Vagån Church in Kabelvåg, which is also called Lofoten Cathedral. It was built in 1898 and has about 1200 seats, which makes it one of the largest in Norway.
