Reykjavik - South Coast, Waterfalls & Glacier Hike

In this tour you will get a great combination of sightseeing of the South Shore of Iceland and an easy activity – glacier walk. In this tour you will experience farming lands, black sand beaches, thundering waterfalls, powerful volcanoes and majestic glaciers.

The tour will take you to Skogafoss waterfall, one of the country‘s most iconic waterfall and one of south Iceland‘s star attraction. Viking legends tell of a treasure buried in a cave behind the waterfall. The tour continues with an easy hike on the ancient ice of Sólheimajökull glacier with a knowledgeable and certified glacier guide. The walk is rather easy and suitable for everyone who does not have problems with walking. All safety equipment will be provided.

During the tour you will also stroll along the black sand beach of Reynisfjara and see the Reynisdrangar pillars. On a clear day you may have a good view of famous volcanoes, Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull.

Heading back to Reykjavik you will see the iconic Seljalandsfoss waterfall where you can literally walk behind a curtain of water which is certainly a moment you’ll want to capture on camera.

We reserve the right to alter the itinerary if weather conditions change and the glacier walk is cancelled. If the glacier walk cancellation occurs a visit to the Skogar museum and Vik village is offered.
