Day 01: Arrival in Moscow, the capital of Russia

Arrival in Moscow according to your own itinerary. An English speaking transfer assistant will meet you at Moscow Airport and you will be transferred by car to your hotel. Moscow was founded in the 12th century, built as a wooden fortress on the banks of the Moscow River to keep out barbarian invaders from the east. Today it is a modern city with wide boulevards and green parks, yet proudly preserving its historic monuments and impressive buildings from previous eras. Accommodation in Moscow.

Day 02: Moscow – Grand City Tour & Afternoon at leisure

Breakfast at the hotel. At 10:00 hrs a local guide will meet you at your hotel and take you on a 3-hour sightseeing tour of Moscow, including the Kremlin, the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour (St Basil the blessed or Pokrovsky Sobor); the Novodevichy convent, the Bolshoi theatre, Victory Park, Triumphal Arch, New Arbat Street, Arbat Square and much more. The afternoon is at your own leisure. We recommend you to visit the Red Square, Lenin’s Mausoleum, Tretyakov Gallery, Pusjkin State Museum, Moscow Metro and the Gum and TSUM stores. Day 04: Travel by train to St. Petersburg

Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer from your hotel to the train station. Departure from Moscow by a 4-hour train ride to St. Petersburg (13:30-17:55), often referred to as Russia’s cultural capital. St. Petersburg is a city of outstanding architectural beauty, famous for its magnificent palaces, cathedrals, fountains and bridges. Sights of interest include: The Palace Bridge, Alexander Garden, Peter and Paul Fortress and much more. Accommodation in St. Petersburg.

Day 05: St. Petersburg & Grand City Tour

Breakfast at the hotel. At 10:00 hrs a local guide will meet you at your hotel and take you on a 3-hour visit of St. Petersburg. Famous sights include the Palace Square, the Winter Palace, the Summer Garden, Nevsky Prospect, The Square of Arts, Saint Isaac’s Cathedral and much more. The afternoon is at your own leisure. Day 06: St. Petersburg & Visit of the Hermitage Art Museum

Breakfast at the hotel. At 10:00 hrs a local guide will meet you at your hotel and take you on a 3-hour visit of the world-famous Hermitage Art Museum. This museum is one of the most famous and largest museums in the world with more than three million works of art and artefacts of the world culture in its collection. (Kindly note that Hermitage Art Museum is closed on Mondays, January 1 and May 9). The afternoon is at your own leisure. Accommodation in St. Petersburg.

Day 07: Travel by train to Helsinki

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from St. Petersburg by a 3,5-hour train ride to Helsinki. The Finnish capital is a modern cultural city, which throughout 450 years of history, has existed in the crosscurrents of the East and West. The colourful layers of history can be seen everywhere; a walking tour of the city centre or of the magnificent Suomenlinna Maritime Fortress will open your eyes to a fascinating past. Sights of interest include the historical centre, Senate Square, the Parliament building, Finlandia Hall, the Sibelius Monument and Temppeliaukio Church (Rock Church). Accommodation in Helsinki.
