9B: Lofoten Islands by bus

This journey will take you through the glorious mountain landscape of the Lofoten Islands – sit back, relax and enjoy the views.

The Lofoten Islands are the home and workplace of thousands of fishermen who have learned to live in tune with the moods of sea and sky, settling in villages in sheltered bays and taking full advantage of the temperate effect of the Gulf Stream. The charming port of Henningsvær is where art and photographs are displayed, capturing the beauty and drama of life in the islands. In the 18th century, it was the most important fishing village in Lofoten. The beautiful harbour is also full of quaint local arts and crafts shops. You will visit the Kaviar Factory, an international venue for contemporary art before the bus takes you to Stamsund, where the ship awaits.
