Enjoy a fun family-friendly rafting experience. On this rafting tour, you will get wet, you will have to paddle, you might fall in, the raft could flip over, but you are guaranteed to have the time of your life.
Voss Rafting Centre maintains the highest standards of safety and excitement. Rivers are classed according to the difficulty of navigation and level of danger (the maximum being grade 6). The family rafting is grade 2 and perfect for families with children under the age of 15. They will usually provide you with both large, steady rafts, and small 2-man rafts, for those who want more challenge. During the spring and early summer, there is generally more water in the river.
After the tour, you will return to the rafting centre. You can get a refreshment from the bar and look through the photos (and sometimes also video) from your tour. It is also possible to buy food at the rafting centre before you are brought back to Voss.
Daily from mid-May to mid-October (season start and end date can vary depending on the water level)
09:30 or 14:30 hrs from the train station in Voss.
3 hours (approximately 1,5 hours on the water).
No child discount. This activity is not suitable for children under the age of 5.
Transfer, refreshment, and equipment (wet suit, shoes, jacket, life jacket, and helmet).
You can also join the family rafting immediately after arriving in Voss (please let us know if you would prefer this).
Kindly bring your own swimsuit/shorts, a towel for showers, thermal underwear.
The activity is running in all weather, as long as there is water in the rivers the activity is running.
Special conditions:
Normal fitness level required, you must be able to swim. If affected by medical conditions like asthma, epilepsy, heart-problems or similar please contact us for more information. If you are pregnant you should not go rafting.
For security reasons, there must be at least 5 persons per raft. Otherwise, the rafting will be cancelled, or, if possible, rescheduled. In case of cancellation due to not enough participants, you will receive a full refund.
