Reindeer encounter (Raidu) - Ice Hotel Activity

On this tour, you take a look into the history of the Sami people. You will get to know the Sami culture, taste their food and meet the reindeer.

Your guide will pick you up at the Ice Hotel and together you travel to a Sámi reindeer farm. For thousands of years, the Sámi people have lived in harmony with nature and their reindeer, constantly moving in search of food for the herd. At the farm you will learn about the Sámi people’s customs and the practical importance about reindeer throughout the various seasons.

Meet and feed the curious reindeer, try driving a reindeer sled and learn more about the Sámi lifestyle and the indigenous people of the region. In a traditional Sami hut, you will get some coffee and taste the Sami’s national dish – souvas, served around the open fire. The tour ends with a short transfer back to the Ice Hotel.
