Snow covered nature, frozen lakes, temperature below freezing and 140 eager huskies are ready to give you a wonderful dog sledding experience!
On this dog sledding tour, you are driven by a dogmusher – 2 people per sled. A driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Snowhotel Kirkenes camp outside Kirkenes. After receiving your warm clothes, you can meet the huskies in the dogyard. The guide will teach you the basics of handling your team of huskies and then you are ready to head out into nature. The tour is approximately 10 km and goes over the fjord ice and through classic arctic, lightly forested wilderness. Short breaks are made on the way, to rest the dogs and share some stories.
If the conditions allow, you may have the chance to try driving the sled yourself on the fjord ice.

Transportation (15 minutes each way), guide and warm clothing (overall, boots, mittens and balaklava).
Special conditions: Minimum 2 participants. If travelling alone you can still book this add-on as there might be other travellers participating. Good physical condition is necessary to participate.
Weather dependent: All outdoor activities are weather dependent and may be cancelled or replaced by more suitable alternatives should the conditions not permit to run the tour as planned. A full refund will be made for activities cancelled by the supplier due to weather conditions.
