The world's northernmost full-service hotel. Originally built for the Winter Olympics in Lillehammer in 1994, the hotel was afterwards transported to Svalbard and completely renovated in a pure Arctic style. The hotel reopened after major renovations in February, 2019.
The hotel has in total 95 rooms of different categories. All rooms are well equipped with bathroom, TV, bathrobe, slippers, and a water kettle. The hotel building is nicely located with views of the Advent Valley, Hiorthfjellet and the Advent Fjord. During your stay you can enjoy delicious food in the Nansen Restaurant or an ice-cold beer in the Barentz Gastropub.
In the hotel lobby there are lounges where you can relax in front of the fireplace. A visit to a hot sauna may tempt you after a day out in the wilderness. There is also a hot tub with views directly to Hiortfjellet.
