All cabins on main deck (lower deck) are outside cabins with a porthole. They are above the waterline and open into the hallway. The cabins are newly renovated and fitted with twin beds (bed length 200 cm). The cabins are charming and tastefully decorated, but small (the size of a sleeping compartment on a train). They are fitted with a washbasin with hot and cold water. None of the cabins have private facilities, but there are shared toilet facilities on each deck. Showers are located on the main deck and on the bridge deck.
M/S Diana is the youngest of the company’s ships, built at the Finnboda shipyard outside Stockholm and launched in 1931. She had been ordered in anticipation of a wave of Swedish-American guests during the Tercentenary Celebration and was designed to travel the Göta Canal between Gothenburg and Stockholm. M/S Diana was listed in 2009, meaning that the National Maritime Museums consider her historically important.
In 2012 all cabins on main deck were rebuilt, and the dining room and lounge were also completely refurbished.
Cabins: There are 25 cabins on three decks; main/lower deck (cabin category C), shelter/middle deck (cabin category B) and bridge/upper deck (cabin category A).
The main deck which is located downstairs of the ship has a total of 10 cabins. The cabins are fitted with twin beds, except for two cabins which have a 140-cm wide "Queen-size bed" - the "honeymoon cabins". These are available at a small supplement and should you prefer any of these cabins, please let us know. All cabins are tastefully fitted with brass details and attractive textiles. They are small and cosy, giving an impression of how people once travelled.
On the main deck there are four toilets - two of them are combined toilet and shower.
