Engholm Husky Design Lodge

Engholms Husky Design Lodge is located six kilometers outside the Sami village of Karasjok. A stay here is an experience for the open minded, longing for wilderness and adventure! The log cabins offer a warm and unique atmosphere here in the Arctic Wilderness.

Engholm's Husky design Lodge is situated next to Karasjohka river, 6 km outside of Karasjok. The designed log houses at the lodge were built by Sven himself and has a special charm. Sven has made all the interior furnishing and decoration in order to create a unique and personal atmosphere in each cabin. Your cabin is 45 m2 and has a kitchenette, fireplace, a seating area and private toilet facilities.

At the farm you can find 50 highly trained sled dogs for long-distance racing and dog sledding tours / expeditions. In the summer time wilderness hikes with pack dogs and canoeing are available to book on spot.

You are welcome to join in the daily life on the farm. There is always a lot happening; sled dogs are in training, puppies are learning to socialize. Many interesting books from the "Dogmusher library", can be read. There is a cosy wood heated sauna and outdoor hot tub ready on request for those tempted (at a supplement). Smaller tours can be ventured upon alone if desired.
