Enjoy an overnight cruise between Stockholm and Helsinki, capitals of Sweden and Finland. Both Stockholm and Helsinki offer a variety of interesting sights and attractions, as well as a rich cultural life. Whether you are interested in arts, architecture, music, history, design & crafts or entertainment, there are many activities to choose from in the different cities.
During the cruise you will sail through the archipelago of Stockholm. With over 24.000 islands, of which only about a thousand are inhabited, the Stockholm archipelago is one of the biggest archipelagos of the Baltic Sea.
The ships depart from both Stockholm and Helsinki in the early evening at 17:00 hrs and arrive the next morning at 09:55hrs in Helsinki and 09:30 in Stockholm.
The inside cabins have separate beds and provide all you need for a comfortable journey. All cabins include bedding and towels and are equipped with private shower/WC, closet, air conditioning, hair dryer, radio and telephone.
Silja Line operates the stretch between Stockholm and Helsinki with two ships, the Silja Symphony and the Silja Serenade. The facilities provided by the ships are uniform, but the choice of colours, materials and design means that each ship retains its own character.
Both have a great quantity of facilities, including a la carte and buffet restaurants, shops and bars. The fully licensed restaurants, cafés and bars offer a wide selection of food and beverages and the shops sell a broad range of different products.
Good to know:
Hotel rooms in Scandinavia are generally furnished with twin beds, which can be moved together to form a double bed or placed separately (some hotels have double beds though). Unless otherwise specified all rooms have private bathroom facilities, which are often equipped with a shower instead of a bath. Please note that single rooms are generally smaller than doubles. Purpose-built triple or family rooms are likewise unusual in Scandinavian hotels. Whilst it is possible for 3 persons to share a room, this will normally be formed by a double room with an extra bed. As a result space may be restricted.
Unless otherwise clearly specified a standard room/cabin is included in the tour price.
