Overnight train Helsinki-Kemi, shared facilities

Travel comfortably onboard the overnight train and wake up relaxed the next morning at your destination.

The overnight train is a double-deck sleeping car. The compartments on the lower and mezzanine floor are included in the tour price. They are 3,3m² and have two beds and a small hand basin with a towel. You make up your own bed with the pillowcase, sheet, sleeping bag and blanket provided. A shared shower (operated with a special key card) and toilet are located on the mezzanine floor. There is space for your luggage under the bed or in the small luggage room in the end of the carriage but space is limited. The beds fold down so that passengers can sit comfortably during the day.

If you travel with two people, you will have the compartment for yourself. As a single traveller, you will share with another traveller of your gender.
It is possible to upgrade to a compartment with ensuite shower and toilet. For single travellers, this would then be private and not shared anymore. Please see add-ons for details.
If travelling as a family, you can request interconnecting compartments.

Please note: Breakfast is not included, but can be bought in the onboard restaurant. The restaurant is also open for dinner in the evening.

Hotel rooms in Scandinavia are generally furnished with twin beds, which can be moved together to form a double bed or placed separately (some hotels have double beds though). Unless otherwise specified all rooms have private bathroom facilities, which are often equipped with a shower instead of a bath. Please note that single rooms are generally smaller than doubles. Purpose-built triple or family rooms are likewise unusual in Scandinavian hotels. Whilst it is possible for 3 persons to share a room, this will normally be formed by a double room with an extra bed. As a result space may be restricted.

Unless otherwise clearly specified a standard room/cabin is included in the tour price.
