Hotel Vestmannaeyjar is located in the heart of the town Vestmannaeyjar on the main island Heimaey on the Westman Islands. The hotel offers beautiful mountain views of Heimaklettur in the north and Helgafell in the south.

The hotel has 43 rooms, thereof 24 more spacious rooms in the new wing that was opened in summer 2014. All rooms offer a flat-screen TV with 10 channels, a telephone, comfortable beds and a private bathroom with shower. Guests have access to free wireless internet inside the rooms.

During summer the restaurant is open every day for lunch and dinner. Seafood prepared of fresh ingredients is one of their specialities thanks to the closeness to the fish industry. The restaurant is open for dinner in the winter time. Breakfast is served daily in the restaurant.

The hotel has a spa in the basement which offers two Jacuzzis and a sauna. There is also a massage parlour and a beauty saloon.

Hotel rooms in Scandinavia are generally furnished with twin beds, which can be moved together to form a double bed or placed separately (some hotels have double beds though). Unless otherwise specified all rooms have private bathroom facilities, which are often equipped with a shower instead of a bath. Please note that single rooms are generally smaller than doubles. Purpose-built triple or family rooms are likewise unusual in Scandinavian hotels. Whilst it is possible for 3 persons to share a room, this will normally be formed by a double room with an extra bed. As a result space may be restricted.
