Silja Line – Stockholm-Tallinn - Inside

Enjoy an overnight cruise between Stockholm and Tallinn, capitals of Sweden and Estonia. Both Stockholm and Tallinn offer a variety of interesting sights and attractions, as well as a rich cultural life. Whether you are interested in arts, architecture, music, history, design & crafts or entertainment, there are many activities to choose from in the different cities.
During the cruise you will sail through the archipelago of Stockholm. With over 24.000 islands, of which only about a thousand are inhabited, the Stockholm archipelago is one of the biggest archipelagos of the Baltic Sea.

Distances: The ships depart from both Stockholm and Tallinn in the early evening at 17:45hrs and 18:00hrs and arrive the next morning at 10:00hrs.

Cabins: The inside cabins have separate beds and provide all you need for a comfortable journey. All cabins include bedding and towels and are equipped with private shower/WC, closet, air conditioning, hair dryer, radio and telephone.

Facilities: Silja Line operates the stretch between Stockholm and Tallinn with two ships, the Victoria 1 and the Baltic Queen. The facilities provided by the ships are uniform, but the choice of colours, materials and design means that each ship retains its own character.
Both have a great quantity of facilities, including a la carte and buffet restaurants, shops and bars. The fully licensed restaurants, cafés and bars offer a wide selection of food and beverages and the shops sell a broad range of different products.

Good to know:

  • Arrival and departure times are always indicated in local time. Estonia is one hour ahead of Sweden.
  • Disabled guests: Passengers with physical or other disabilities, who require the assistance of another person are to be accompanied by a suitable companion. Passengers are requested to notify Silja Line of this when booking their journey and to inform the INFO personnel upon embarkation, providing any necessary personal information and the cabin number. For safety purposes, the captain of the ship has discretionary power concerning passage on board and the use of a companion.
  • Check-in closes 15 minutes before departure. Passengers arriving after these specified times may be unable to board the ship.
  • Luggage Allowance: 50kg per adult, 25kg per child. Assistance is generally not available.
  • Credit cards/currency: VISA, American Express, MasterCard, Eurocard, Diners Club and JBC International. The shops, bars and restaurants accept Swedish Kronor (SEK) and Euro (EUR), plus most currencies can be exchanged onboard.
  • Smoking is only allowed outside on deck.
  • Electricity: 220 V AC (60Hz) and a two pin Continental adaptor.
  • Valuables: The ferry company cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen property and does not accept responsibility for valuables and money kept in the cabin. Any small items can be deposited in the Pursers Safe – please ask at the Information Desk on board.

Hotel rooms in Scandinavia are generally furnished with twin beds, which can be moved together to form a double bed or placed separately (some hotels have double beds though). Unless otherwise specified all rooms have private bathroom facilities, which are often equipped with a shower instead of a bath. Please note that single rooms are generally smaller than doubles. Purpose-built triple or family rooms are likewise unusual in Scandinavian hotels. Whilst it is possible for 3 persons to share a room, this will normally be formed by a double room with an extra bed. As a result space may be restricted.

Unless otherwise clearly specified a standard room/cabin is included in the tour price.
