Hotel Edda Akureyri is located in the heart of Akureyri and within a short walk from the town’s center. Akureyri’s Botanical Gardens are also found close by. The Hotel Restaurant offers à la carte and buffet options. The lobby has a small café, and guests can sit out on the terrace in nice weather.
Hotel Edda Akureyri has a total of 204 rooms – thereof 132 EDDA Plus rooms with private bathrooms, television and telephone. (We only offer the Edda Plus rooms in our tours).
Please note that the hotel standard in Iceland outside of Reykjavik is basic, but still very comfortable (tourist class hotels no more than 3 stars). All the hotels included in our tours have private bathroom facilities and breakfast is included.Distances:
Hotel rooms in Scandinavia are generally furnished with twin beds, which can be moved together to form a double bed or placed separately (some hotels have double beds though). Unless otherwise specified all rooms have private bathroom facilities, which are often equipped with a shower instead of a bath. Please note that single rooms are generally smaller than doubles. Purpose-built triple or family rooms are likewise unusual in Scandinavian hotels. Whilst it is possible for 3 persons to share a room, this will normally be formed by a double room with an extra bed. As a result space may be restricted.
