Enjoy a guided walk through the nature and birdlife of Kvaløya with a beautiful view of the ocean and mountains. Visit the country’s best known sleigh driver Tove Sørensen and her 250 huskies and husky pups.
Located just half an hour outside Tromsø, Kvaløya is a beautiful site framed by mountains, sea and plains. Here you will visit Tromsø Wilderness Centre and will learn more about the world of competitive dog sledding, husky care and breeding. In addition to this, you can greet and meet the over 250 huskies that live there. Afterwards, you can join a guide in exploring the plant and bird life around the centre. Meet back a traditional Sámi lavvo (tent) for a hot drink and a slice of cake before returning to Tromsø.
