Basecamp Trapper’s Hotel Spitsbergen

Basecamp Trapper’s Hotel is situated in the center of Longyearbyen, close to pubs, restaurants, bank and shopping centre. This is no doubt the roughest and most unique hotel at Spitsbergen. Furnished with slate, sealskin and drift wood interior, it gives an impression of entering into a hunters timber lodge rather than a hotel. No rooms are alike, however the standard is high and the rooms have very comfortable beds, all bathrooms have heated floors and most of the rooms are spacious.

Breakfast is served at the wooden table in the Travelers’ Club. At the “Cognac loft” you can enjoy the arctic light trough the glass ceiling. In surroundings that ooze of proud trapping traditions, you will get a powerful and authentic experience and fantastic stories to tell family or friends stranded at home.
