For more than 100 years Hotel Union has offered first class service to guests from all over the world. Surrounded by incredible waterfalls, mountains and the beautiful fjords, it is easy to understand why so many people choose to stay here while they visit Geiranger.
The hotel was refurbished in early 2008 and now has new comfortable furniture and light colours. Each room is unique and offers different kinds of views, either over the fjords or over the mountains. All the rooms have a TV, sofa, free entrance to the relax department, garden, lounges and nightclub.
Please note that the Google map does not reveal the correct location of the hotel. This is due to the fact that there are no street names in Geiranger. The hotel is located in the hillside along road 63 in direction to/from Grotli, just opposite the Fjord Centre.
The hotel offers transfer service free of charge from the quay for guests without a car. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the harbour; in summer, there is a nice walking path open along a waterfall.Distances:
Hotel rooms in Scandinavia are generally furnished with twin beds, which can be moved together to form a double bed or placed separately (some hotels have double beds though). Unless otherwise specified all rooms have private bathroom facilities, which are often equipped with a shower instead of a bath. Please note that single rooms are generally smaller than doubles. Purpose-built triple or family rooms are likewise unusual in Scandinavian hotels. Whilst it is possible for 3 persons to share a room, this will normally be formed by a double room with an extra bed. As a result space may be restricted.
Unless otherwise clearly specified a standard room/cabin is included in the tour price.
