Scandic Nidelven Hotel is one of Trondheim’s most modern and well-equipped hotels. The hotel is located in the centre and extends 17 meters out into Nidelven, the river running through Trondheim.
Should you wish to take a closer look at Trondheim’s outdoor life after a good lunch in the hotel restaurant, there is a footbridge over Nidelven which acts as the gate to Solsiden and Nedre Elvehavn, Trondheim’s pulsating new shopping and outdoor arena.
The hotel’s art gallery with changing exhibitions and artists is open 24 hours a day.
Rica Nidelven Hotel has 221 comfortable, modern hotel rooms with WiFi connections, including several junior suites with their own balcony, a master suite over two floors and large corner rooms in a magnificent location overlooking Nidelven.
Name change 2014: Kindly note that the hotel chain Scandic has bought the hotels from the Rica hotel chain. This hotel was named Rica Hotel Nidelven when it was a part of Rica Hotels.Distances:
Hotel rooms in Scandinavia are generally furnished with twin beds, which can be moved together to form a double bed or placed separately (some hotels have double beds though). Unless otherwise specified all rooms have private bathroom facilities, which are often equipped with a shower instead of a bath. Please note that single rooms are generally smaller than doubles. Purpose-built triple or family rooms are likewise unusual in Scandinavian hotels. Whilst it is possible for 3 persons to share a room, this will normally be formed by a double room with an extra bed. As a result space may be restricted.
Unless otherwise clearly specified a standard room/cabin is included in the tour price.
