Hotel Ísafjörður is a modern and comfortable hotel in the heart of Ísafjörður, the capital of the Westfjords. Ísafjörður is the ideal base for tourists in the West Fjords, as it has great activities and tours all year long.
All the rooms are decorated in a light Scandinavian style. All rooms are equipped with showers, hair-dryers, television a telephone and free WiFi. The view from the rooms is either across the inner harbour (Pollurinn) or north over to Snæfjallaströnd across the bay of Ísafjarðardjúp.
Please note that the hotel standard in Iceland outside of Reykjavik is basic, but still very comfortable (tourist class hotels no more than 3 stars). All the hotels included in our tours have private bathroom facilities and breakfast is included.Distances:
Hotel rooms in Scandinavia are generally furnished with twin beds, which can be moved together to form a double bed or placed separately (some hotels have double beds though). Unless otherwise specified all rooms have private bathroom facilities, which are often equipped with a shower instead of a bath. Please note that single rooms are generally smaller than doubles. Purpose-built triple or family rooms are likewise unusual in Scandinavian hotels. Whilst it is possible for 3 persons to share a room, this will normally be formed by a double room with an extra bed. As a result space may be restricted.
Unless otherwise clearly specified a standard room/cabin is included in the tour price.
