Fosshotel Husavík is a friendly, well-equipped 3 star hotel, in the heart of Husavik, in Northeast Iceland. It is located within walking distance of the harbour.
The hotel is now probably the world’s only whale-themed hotel, boasting unique features and exhibitions on these marine mammals in form of pictures, paintings, sculptures and a large whale stamp collection. The hotel has total 70 rooms. The Moby Dick Restaurant at the hotel and Bar is based on the famous book and movie “Moby Dick”.
Please note that the hotel standard in Iceland outside of Reykjavik is basic, but still very comfortable (tourist class hotels no more than 3 stars). All the hotels included in our tours have private bathroom facilities and breakfast is included.Distances:
Hotel rooms in Scandinavia are generally furnished with twin beds, which can be moved together to form a double bed or placed separately (some hotels have double beds though). Unless otherwise specified all rooms have private bathroom facilities, which are often equipped with a shower instead of a bath. Please note that single rooms are generally smaller than doubles. Purpose-built triple or family rooms are likewise unusual in Scandinavian hotels. Whilst it is possible for 3 persons to share a room, this will normally be formed by a double room with an extra bed. As a result space may be restricted.
Unless otherwise clearly specified a standard room/cabin is included in the tour price.
