Icelandair Hotel Hamar is a relaxing retreat-style hotel built on an 18-hole golf course in West Iceland, a region rich in saga history. Located about an hour drive north of Reykjavik, in the quaint, beautiful town of Borgarnes, the Icelandair Hotel Hamar is surrounded by immense natural beauty and fascinating attractions.
Each guest room has doors that open directly out unto the hotel grounds. All the rooms have under-floor heating to keep you warm. Best of all, after an exciting day of sightseeing, you can relax in one of their geothermal-heated outdoor hot tubs.
Please note that the hotel standard in Iceland outside of Reykjavik is basic, but still very comfortable (tourist class hotels no more than 3 stars). All the hotels included in our tours have private bathroom facilities and breakfast is included.Distances:
Hotel rooms in Scandinavia are generally furnished with twin beds, which can be moved together to form a double bed or placed separately (some hotels have double beds though). Unless otherwise specified all rooms have private bathroom facilities, which are often equipped with a shower instead of a bath. Please note that single rooms are generally smaller than doubles. Purpose-built triple or family rooms are likewise unusual in Scandinavian hotels. Whilst it is possible for 3 persons to share a room, this will normally be formed by a double room with an extra bed. As a result space may be restricted.
Unless otherwise clearly specified a standard room/cabin is included in the tour price.
