Sundbyholm Castle from the 1640’s is situated at the southern shore of Lake Mälaren. The unique surrounding landscape offers Lake Mälaren’s longest beach, Europe’s northernmost beech forest and a picturesque award-winning pleasure boat marina.
You will also find the Sundbyholm Harness Racing track 1500 meters (just short of 1 mile) from the Castle, and Sundbyholm’s Golf Course 3 kilometers (2 miles) from the Castle.
The Castle building itself consists of an a la carte restaurant as well as dining and banquet rooms. The Castle’s kitchen is inspired by the regional traditions of Sörmland with international, mostly French, influences.
At Sundbyholm Castle there is a balanced blend of historical and modern buildings. All accommodations are in adjacent buildings to the Castle. The rooms are bright and individually decorated in various color scales, and they all have sitting areas, TV, telephone, radio and hair dryer.Distances:
Hotel rooms in Scandinavia are generally furnished with twin beds, which can be moved together to form a double bed or placed separately (some hotels have double beds though). Unless otherwise specified all rooms have private bathroom facilities, which are often equipped with a shower instead of a bath. Please note that single rooms are generally smaller than doubles. Purpose-built triple or family rooms are likewise unusual in Scandinavian hotels. Whilst it is possible for 3 persons to share a room, this will normally be formed by a double room with an extra bed. As a result space may be restricted.
Unless otherwise clearly specified a standard room/cabin is included in the tour price.
