This is a small and friendly lodge offering a relaxed atmosphere in the beautiful mountain region of northern Lapland. The lodge is located close to the train station and to the Abisko Ski Resort.
The rooms are simply furnished, comfortable and clean. All rooms are ensuite and have separate beds. There is free wi-fi in every room but no televisions as you will be spending most of your time outside in the wild or in the cosy lounge. Here you can relax with a coffee or a glass of wine at the bar, read a magazine, play games and talk about the day’s adventures.
The owners Dick & Mina Johansson encourage all their guests to experience the stunning surroundings around Abisko. Dick is one of the most recognized mountain guides in Europe and can show you some of the most fantastic places in the area. There is access to all kinds of skiing and there are good trails in the close vicinity.
The Mountain Lodge’s in-house restaurant is inspired by Norwegian and Swedish cuisine and serves an excellent menu based on a range of local produce such as arctic char, king crab, elk, grouse and many more local delicacies.Distances:
Hotel rooms in Scandinavia are generally furnished with twin beds, which can be moved together to form a double bed or placed separately (some hotels have double beds though). Unless otherwise specified all rooms have private bathroom facilities, which are often equipped with a shower instead of a bath. Please note that single rooms are generally smaller than doubles. Purpose-built triple or family rooms are likewise unusual in Scandinavian hotels. Whilst it is possible for 3 persons to share a room, this will normally be formed by a double room with an extra bed. As a result space may be restricted.
Unless otherwise clearly specified a standard room/cabin is included in the tour price.
