A unique hotel in one of Sweden´s oldest buildings; an imposing 13th century monastery. Vadstena Klosterhotell is an impressive and elegant hotel close to the idyllic town centre of Vadstena and directly opposite the Birgittine Abbey. The hotel is 25 meters away from Lake Vättern and has its own beach and jetty.
Vadstena Klosterhotel offers 75 nicely decorated rooms in a historic environment. The stylish rooms are decorated with furniture adapted to different time epochs. All rooms are equipped with telephone, TV and WIFI.
The hotel offers three onsite restaurants (only 1 open during winter) and two bars. The restaurant Munkklostret still uses herbs from the cloister’s herbal garden and offers a tasteful and memorable experience in a medieval environment.Distances:
Hotel rooms in Scandinavia are generally furnished with twin beds, which can be moved together to form a double bed or placed separately (some hotels have double beds though). Unless otherwise specified all rooms have private bathroom facilities, which are often equipped with a shower instead of a bath. Please note that single rooms are generally smaller than doubles. Purpose-built triple or family rooms are likewise unusual in Scandinavian hotels. Whilst it is possible for 3 persons to share a room, this will normally be formed by a double room with an extra bed. As a result space may be restricted.
Unless otherwise clearly specified a standard room/cabin is included in the tour price.
