Golden Circle Classic by coach in Reykjavik

This full day guided coach tour introduces you to some of the best known historical sites and natural phenomena in Iceland including Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir hot springs and Þingvellir National Park.

The tour starts by the Þingvellir National Park, where the Icelandic parliament Alþingi was founded in the year 930 AD. Þingvellir is geologically remarkable, and the tectonic plate boundaries form a breathtaking scenery.

From there you continue to the beautiful waterfall Gullfoss, where you can walk so close to the edge that you might feel the mist of the glacial water on your face. The lunch break is usually at the Gullfoss Cafe or alternatively at the Information Center at Geysir. Please note that lunch is not included in the tour but can be bought on-site or you can take it with you.

From Gullfoss Cafe the journey continues towards the geothermal area around the incredible spouting hot springs of Geysir and Strokkur. This area offers an impressive collage of bubbling mud pools, hissing steam vents and colourful algae deposits.

The sites visited offer great photo opportunities as well as rich and fascinating stories told with their own nuances by the knowledgeable tour guides. It is not just facts and figures that bring these places to life, but the captivating stories that the guides have gathered over time.
