Flåm - Heritage Fjord Safari – Nærøyfjord & Aurlandsfjord

Medium

During this 2 hours 15 minutes heritage fjord safari, you will discover the world heritage area Aurlandsfjord & Nærøyfjord by RIB-Boat. The Aurlandsfjord & Nærøyfjord are two of many fjordarms in the 204 kilometer long Sognefjord, the ‘King of the Fjords’. In 2005 Nærøyfjord became part of UNESCO’s World Heritage List and Aurlandsfjord is part of the World Heritage Area surrounding Nærøyfjord.
You will head out through the world heritage Aurlansdfjord, further into the stunning Nærøyfjord. Nærøyfjord is only 250 meters at the narrowest and more than one kilometer at the widest. The depth in the fjord varies between 10 and 500 meters. The surrounding mountains which give you a spectacular view are more than 1400 meters high. The boat will turn in Gudvangen, the end of the fjord. From there, the boat will continue on the other side and you will have a different view of the fjords.
On the way, the boat will make different stops to spot for seals, porpoises and eagles. The guide will tell you everything about the fjord, local history and the wildlife as well as share stories, tales and legends from various places of interest.
