Tjärnheden is one of the world’s largest so called dead ice areas. The square distance of 10 kilometers is located south of Abborrträsk. After the ice age a very large ice block broke loose and got left behind melting, this created more than 350 lakes on a very small area. Today you find amazing fishing lakes with big char, salmon trout and white fish. Experience the excitement of hunting big arctic char from a small boat in exclusive char waters. Arctic char is known as one of the strongest species of fish.
